Everyone likes a mirror, while not knowing the true nature of his face. After all, how long does a reflection remain in view? Make a practice of contemplating the origin of the reflection. This cheek and mole go back to the source thereof.

Do you know your daily calcium needs? I never really gave this much thought until recently, maybe because there's been so many campaigns on the appropriate calcium in take lately.[we have campaigns to smile more, to be kind,to have more babies,  to speak our mother tongue etc...we are a city of campaigns;P]

My bones ache, whenever it gets cold, or when I am in an air conditioned room, thats when it occured to me that my lack of calcium must be contributing to this.

When I looked at the list of food that are good sources of calcium I just got even more worried. Most of the natural sources come from milk. *sigh* If you looked at the other listed food items, then eating now seems to be a daunting task.

I am not keen on trying supplements. I dont pop pills and I dont know if I could ever bring myself to develop a habit now.

When I think about the food that I normally take everyday, I seriously doubt if there is even any signifcant amount of calcium in my system.

I suppose sardines are an option. I must bring myself to drink chocolate milk, no matter how much it makes me want to puke after every glass. Thats a pain.:S Ice-cream helps, but not much. I can't imagine consuming 10 cups of ice-cream everyday.

What do you do to ensure you have enough calcium in your diet? *besides the obvious -- milk*

Eid Mubarak

Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said: "Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?- whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not." [Quran 2:030]

Needless to say, every Ramadhan is like a new found friend, another awakening, another level of awareness of all that surrounds me.

At a time when the blindness of the heart is like a plague, I pray that I don't fall into that trap myself. The world can get very tricky these days...

Here's to more Ramadhans ahead and to be kept in His Path always and to find rest in our hearts. Here's to our unbreakable, amazing solidarity, without borders, without boundaries, despite those that hate us, inspite of those that attempt to break our spirits, espeacially those in sheeps clothings amongst us, who claim to act on behalf of all of us...

Let our unity be our armour, lets find peace in our trust in Him. Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakeel.

Takabbalallahu Minkum!

so...let it be written, so let it be done.

Your Lord is self-sufficient and merciful. If He pleased, he could do away with you and make whom he pleases succeed after you, just as He raised you from the offspring of other nations. Indeed, that which you are promised must come to pass and you cannot escape it.-Quran (6:134-135)

I cannot imagine the mayhem with four more years of bad grammar and fear mongering...

I hope those reponsible for the numerous suffering of the underpriviledged never have peace of mind, never find rest, may they eat and still be hungry, may their thirst never quench...

so its just one day left for America to decide..

Got this on email...from Mike Moore to Bush[curses upon him]

To George W.:

& nbsp;   &n bsp;I know it’s gotta be rough for you right now. Hey, we’ve all been there. “You’re fired” are two horrible words when put together in that order. Bin Laden surfacing this weekend to remind the American people of your total and complete failure to capture him was a cruel trick or treat. But there he was. 3,000 people were killed and he’s laughing in your face. Why did you stop our Special Forces from going after him? Why did you forget about bin Laden on the DAY AFTER 9/11 and tell your terrorism czar to concentrate on Iraq instead?
& nbsp;   &n bsp; There he was, OBL, all tan and rested and on videotape (hey, did you get the feeling that he had a bootleg of my movie? Are there DVD players in those caves in Afghanistan?)
& nbsp;   &n bsp;Speaking of my movie – can I ask you a personal question before we part ways for good on Tuesday? Why did you and your friends fund SIX “documentaries” trashing me -- but only ONE film against Kerry? C’mon, he was the candidate, not me. What a waste of your time and resources! Sure, I know what your pollsters told you, that the film had convinced some people to vote you out. I just want you to know that that was not my original intent. Funny things happen at the movies. Hope you get to see a few at the multiplex in Waco. It’s a great way to relax.
